Life’s a journey, and can get complicated at times. I know, I’ve had my share of complications. When it does, some of us think about checking out, but don’t.  Just keep on moving and you’ll discover that around the next turn in the road is the next cycle in your journey of life. That’s what I did, it only took 63 years.

Today I find myself a writer. I have discovered the most incredible joy my life has known … other than my wife. Well, than my kids or grand-kids also.

Writing is what I have wanted to do for a long time. The fact that I lost my job forced me to make the decision to work on my dream job and get serious about what I have wanted to do for years. Interesting how life can help us make decisions that we were afraid to make before.

The shack on the beach, that’s totally me. Life is free for those that want to take it. I want to put words to it.

All I can say is … grab life with both hands and never let go. I look back on my life now, and realize that it was actually an exciting life. Full of exciting adventures.

If you want to write, I say go for it. It doesn’t matter if you ever get your work published, just that you are satisfied with the job well done.
